Syllabus Management
Syllabus Design
It streamlines the process of establishing and maintaining syllabi for academic institutions. This Syllabus Design feature of the Cyborg Academic Management Module allows institutions to efficiently formulate and appropriately articulate the delivery of courses in their curriculum.
Subject-wise and Paper-wise Unit Creation:
Easier designing of syllabi for dividing syllabi structure as subject-wise and paper-wise units. This saves the effort on curriculum management for both faculty and students.
Priority Setting:
Prioritize different units and topics according to their importance to the course. It allows focusing on some critical content most of the time in the academic term.
LTP Setting:
Setup for Lecture, Tutorial, and Practical (LTP) hours for various units. This depends on how much balanced and effective teaching methodologies are wanted in accordance with how this institution perceives academic standards.
Sub-unit Creation:
The ability to break down units into sub-units enables an even more detailed and granulated structure to the curriculum. Such provision also allows accurate planning as well as delivery of course content.
Topic Creation:
By drilling down through adding topics under each sub-unit, the syllabus can be made comprehensive and systematic in teaching and learning.
The Syllabus Design thus is expected to give students an organized experience, in the natural form, according to the curriculum they are molded in. It is simple to use, and has many features, but most importantly, it’s entirely focused on how the institutions want to establish their programs along defined academic objectives.
Application of Syllabus in Subjects
Specific Subject Application:
– Align with specific subjects of the designed syllabus.
– Align with the curriculum goals and institutional requirements.
Cross-Class/Course Application:
– Duplicate the syllabus to other classes or courses which have similar content areas.
– Avoid redundancy and share cost for similar content across their programs.
Syllabus Report:
– Generate detailed reports on subject-wise and paper-wise syllabi.
– Share the intended users with an overview of the designed syllabus.
Tracking completion of the syllabus.
Below are LTP University bases:
– Checking whether the syllabus has been realized according to the planned LTP distribution.
– Highlight the deviation to take effect remedial action.
Lecture Plan Base:
– Tracking progress as per the lectures specified in lecture plan.
– Make timely delivery of topics and sub-units.
Syllabus Analysis Reports
Subject-Specific Analysis:
– A subject-wise assessment of syllabus design and completion in a subject.
– Inputs into areas that need adjustment or improvement.
Employee-Wise Analysis:
– Syllabus delivery is performed by individual faculty members under each analysis.
– Strengths and weaknesses in the teaching highlighted.
